You will clearly want to analyze theme, dramatic elements, Visual design, cinematography and special visual effects, editing, use of color, sound effects and dialogue, the musical score, acting, and direction.
Obviously, some of these elements will be more predominant depending on the film and filmmakers; your task is to be as comprehensive as possible; therefore, I would suggest this critique take up from 5 – 7 pages of analysis rather than the typical 2 – 4. Be sure you include the names of all the artists (easily findable on IMDB.com) when discussing these various aspects of the film always including the year of release of the film, plus specific examples/moments to illustrate the use and purpose of the various elements in terms of filmmaking.MLA Format
