Changes in use of CT processes and a plan for continued development of thinking habits.
Reflection 1: Use of CT processes Reflect on your initial Critical Thinking (CT) Inventory. 1) List at least 4 CT processes that you identified you “would like to improve” on your initial CT inventory. Write the definition for each of these processes identified in the Sheffer and Rubenfield (2000) article. Discuss an example of how you used EACH of these skills in a real life situation to facilitate the clinical reasoning process. You may use a non-clinical situation if you have not had an opportunity to use in your clinical experience as of yet. “Thinking habits” transfer to all aspects of life.
2) Identify ONE specific (measurable) goal that you would like to achieve by the end of the semester regarding your “thinking habits”. Reflection 2: Changes in use of CT processes and a plan for continued development of thinking habits. Reflect on your initial Critical Thinking (CT) Inventory and your Reflection 1: goal for improvement of “thinking habits”. 1) You identified four (4) CT processes that you would like to improve based on your initial responses to questions in the CT inventories (Modules 1&2). Please re-answer questions related to these CT processes and discuss if there has been any changes since the beginning of the semester. 2) Develop a step by step plan that you will use to continue to develop your “thinking habits” after the conclusion of this class? Give examples. You may find it helpful to list several CT processes and discuss how you plan to improve their use. This is like a recipe that you can follow and replicate. Your answer must be specific to receive full credit.
