Let’s do something about that. -Affirm your body for a week. -List the steps you take each day: take at least one -Track your body’s responses:do a quick self-check before after. -Keep notes on the above: is anything happening? Self- care suggestion: -20 minutes of silence or guided meditation//20 min of stretching// 20 min of movement// drinking at least 8 cups(2000 mL) water per day//etc What results do you notice? write 2 pages double-space on the following what did you choose, why and how did it go? Did variations occur? What changed as the week went by? Were you consistent or did you often forget? why might that be? what is one positive realization you reached about your body? as you write, we recommend a connection to Audre Lorde’s “The Uses of the Erotic: The Erotic as Power” (Reading#20) In your writing, you are laying out knowledge gained from an embodied epistemology- that is elucidation and analyzing what your body has taught you across all four levels of analysis. You have no obligation to share any personal stories from beyond this week. However, sometimes the realizations you reach require context. If so please keep your writing between 0-4 on the trauma scale(out of 10) conclude with a brief statement of steps you will continue to take for at least one more week.
