Description The management team from an organisation (that do not currently have a Human Resource) are now reviewing the current workforce skills and competences, as well as the processes that will develop the human capital in the business. To this end they require an analysis of possible training and learning & development strategies to enhance employee skills. You must also report on the use of a performance management system, its purpose and procedures; and how this will support employee performance in the organisation. Also explore the links between performance management and earning and development initiatives. The organisation also needs to update themselves on the most current employment legislation relating to the industry and have asked you to investigate and explain key regulation that affect the industry. The local legislation must also be compared to the UK law to identify similarities and differences between the two legal frameworks. Key concepts to consider and include in your report may include; – Various training and learning methods and techniques and its appropriateness in context – Learning styles, approaches and models, Levels of learning and other appropriate theories – Learning and development strategies in a suitable context – The concept and purpose or performance management – Performance management approaches and practices – Employment related legislation to consider in HRM such as employment contracts, data protection, disciplinary processes, equality and diversity, termination/change of employment terms. 20 sources including academic books, journal articles and professional publications. Also explain who the result will be presented to. ~ Main body (Often referred to as the Analysis and Findings) – Critical review of key topics or themes – In depth discussion to explain the key topic areas outlined in the specification above. This section must be informed and supported by appropriate secondary research to build the discussions and arguments and also highlight the key strengths or gaps in any particular authors perspectives. Considering analysis and finding in this section discuss the best practice that could be considered for your chosen organisation. All recommendations must be informed by secondary data and additional research information to underpin your suggestions.
