persuasive paragraph

After reading pages 90-95 in your textbook, write a paragraph convincing your audience to do something or to think the way you think. You may check the Library database, CQ Researcher, for articles that are persuasive in nature to get an idea of how this type of writing should be structured. Pick a topic that you are passionate about and write a paragraph that will let your reader know your position on that topic. Some examples of topics are included on page 94, or you may choose your own issue. Your topic sentence should include the issue with your side of the issue as your controlling idea. Remember to use enough details to convince the reader to agree with you. Follow all the guidelines we have previously used in this course for writing and submitting assignments.
